  1. Attractive and easy to use

Posted by Heather M Staab on Apr 17th 2017

We've had a couple of other gates before this one, and like this one so much better. First of all, it looks very nice. It is also extremely easy to use, which I love because my hands are always full! My husband was able to install this in no time flat, which we like too. Overall, we like this gate, and I have recommended it to friends.

  2. Nice gate

Posted by Monica L. on Apr 14th 2017

The gate is very easy to install and is sturdy. I have a 14 month old who loves to push and pull on the gate in an attempt to follow me into the next room and the gate holds. The look is very nice and the black with a brown accent matches most decor. I found the latch easy to operate. I can open it with one hand and I have carpal tunnel so it's difficult for me to find things easy to open. The opening could be a little wider but it is standard to other gates I have used. I can see how some may want it to open both directions however the one direction works for the location I have the gate set up. The design is nice and the vertical bars make it difficult (if not impossible) for a little one to climb over. It comes with two extension pieces for a wider doorway which is nice. For the average doorway, you will not need the extension pieces on the sides.

  3. Easy Install & Very Stylish!

I have a 20 month old and a 3 month old with an open floor plan, so we've tried several different baby gates on the market. This fits the perfect need for a stylish looking baby gate, one that's easy to install, and one that my biggest terror can't knock down. It fits very well in our back hallway off the garage to keep both of my boys and all of the dogs away and allows my husband and I easy access. The door stays open, which is an added bonus for us, because most baby gates we've found automatically swing shut which makes it difficult when trying to carry out several bags or a car seat. Very happy with this product! The one con is that the door only opens one direction.

  4. Perfect for my 14 month old

Posted by Ashlyn Pounds on Apr 14th 2017

This gate is so beautiful and well made. It was put up to keep my 14 month old out and it did a great job! Instructions and assembly were easy. Definitely recommend.

  5. Well crafted

Posted by Melissa C on Apr 13th 2017

After many attempts of trying to install the safety gate I was finally able to put it to use in the hallway of my apartment, not exactly where I needed it but it work. It was simple to install, sturdy and I love the color matched well with my decor. The problems I had with this gate was my doorways were too narrow and the entry ways to the living room and kitchen exceeded the length of the gate. If the walls in your home are on an even angle it will be difficult to install.

  6. better than exoected

Posted by brittany cooper on Apr 11th 2017

Getting the gate out of the package was simple and easy, the gate looks like it would be bulky and heavy but it's not.The gate is a nice flat black with dark colored wood accents. It looks great. I thought I had a defected one because there's a gap in where the gate would lock but once installed the gap went away. I would recommend to slowly adjust each peg a little at a time or the gate won't look centered in the door way. My daughter shook it vigorously when I closed the gate behind me and she wasn't able to knock it over like she is with other gates. The only complaint I have is, the doorway is narrow wish it was a little wider.

  7. Functional Gate

Posted by Stephanie Radbill on Apr 11th 2017

I installed the gate yesterday. It's a nice looking color and pattern than the white one we replaced. It was easy to install and had 2 extenders to help it fit in any doorway. We had to use both. It's easy to install and the screws tighten nicely and easily. My only complaint is it is quite low (below my hips at 5' 8") and my baby is already as tall as the gate. I worry he'd be able to scale it or push if over. The handle is nice as my 4 year old can open it (unlike my previous gate) but that may also be undesirable. I wonder how long until my 20 month old can figure it out.

  8. Easy Set Up

Posted by Christine Abel on Apr 10th 2017

The gate was pretty easy to set up. The quality is great and it looks sturdy. It' easy to walk in and out quickly . My son can't climb over this one either which is a plus! I highly recommend .

  9. Would purchase again- for a second location

Posted by Amanda D on Apr 5th 2017

I received this gate yesterday, and installed it right away. As it was taken out of the box it was extremely easy to put together and install. The whole installation took less than 10 minutes to complete- and this was with a 2 and 3 year old trying to help....
The gate is made from quality materials, and looks much more professional than the plastic gate I had at the bottom of the stairs previously.
The latch is a little cumbersome in size- which I love. My 3 year old is able to open other gates with latches, but because of the size of this latch she is not able to get her hand around to both buttons. My husband and I are easily able to open it ourselves. I also like how this gate will stay open if you want, doesn't automatically close. I have two cats and a dog who need access to the downstairs while we are sleeping to get water. We are able to keep the gate open at night with no issues.

  10. functional, yet stylish

Getting the package into the house and then the gate out of the package is easy because the package is not awkwardly bulky and the gate is not heavy. It is made of sturdy metal so it does have some weight to it and doesn't feel like cheap quality, but it isn't too heavy to lift and move.

Out of the package it is a nice flat black with dark colored wood accents. It looks great. The wood makes it appear more as a small door and less as a metal gate or cell door.

Adjusting the gate to fit the space required is quite easy; adjust each peg a little at a time so that you are adjusting them altogether instead of adjusting one all the way and then another all the way. This helps you level it and even out the space on both sides more quickly. The bar on the bottom is not tall enough to interfere with a normal step through the gate.

Once the gate is in place it is not an eye sore and you can tell your child isn't going to knock it over, unless your child is a 5th grade recreational football player who charges at it head-on with a tackle. My daughter shook it vigorously like she was in prison, got fed up, picked up her stuffed penguin toy and stomped away defeatedly.

My only complaint is the doorway is narrow.
