Roasted Pear and Apple Baby Puree

Experimenting with different flavor combinations has been fun for both us and our baby. To make a good puree you should have an easy way to steam foods. Most baby purees will require you to steam the vegetables or fruit.

This roasted pear and apple baby puree is a savory and sweet combination with just three ingredients needed. The longest part of the process is roasting the pears - but it is an essential part to add flavor.

Roasted Pear and Apple Baby Puree

Roasting the pears add a kick of flavor and delicious goodness to this baby food puree. 

  • 1 Apple (diced)
  • 1.5 Pears (cut in half)
  • 1 tsp Cinnamon
  1. Cut pear(s) in half and sprinkle with ground cinnamon. Roast for 15-20 min in the oven (at 350 degrees). Once done, set aside to cool. *While you don't have to do this, I think it adds a lot of flavor!
  2. Dice apple. Set aside.
  3. Once cooled, dice your pear halves.
  4. Next, steam your apple and pear pieces with a dash more of ground cinnamon. Once steamed, blend steamed apples and pears
  5. Serve immediately!
